About Us:

 

Coughlin Automotive was founded in 1991 with the purchase of our dealership in Newark, Ohio and is owned by brothers Al and Mike Coughlin. Since then, we have grown to become the largest dealer of new, pre-owned, and certified vehicles in Licking County, Ohio. We have locations in Newark, Johnstown, Circleville and Pataskala offering a wide range of brands including: Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, Ford, Nissan, Toyota, and Scion. In July 2006, we opened our new state of the art facility in Pataskala, Ohio.

Description Due to recent brand and location growth, Coughlin Automotive has the need to fill several certified technician positions located throughout Licking, Pickaway and Union counties.  If you are looking for hours to turn, stop by any of our locations and complete an application.  

General Purpose of the Position:
  • Utilize skills, computers and tools to diagnose, repair and maintain vehicles.  
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair broken or worn mechanical and electrical components.    
  • Install equipment, components and systems.  
  • Testing vehicles both before and after repair.  
  • Abide by the company policy manual  
  • Maintain service logs              

Requirements Excellent attention to detail.         
Must have own tools.
Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Skilled in diagnosing mechanical problems.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to prioritize work tasks and use time efficiently.
Continuous improvement and training in order to stay abreast of the rapidly changing auto industry.
Effectively communicating technical issues to non technical individuals.
Must be able to adhere to provided schedule
Must be able to adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Must have a positive attitude while working
Skill in the use of tools of various tools and machinery.
